While freedom-lovers around the globe were celebrating the news that some Canadian provinces were loosening their COVID mandates, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau chose the Ontario province to make a stand against the protestors. As tyrants tend to do, Trudeau invoked broad governmental powers in a bid to stop the protests and to regain some control.

Last week the Biden administration ordered at least 3,000 American troops to deploy to eastern Europe to help defend allies. Although, these troops won’t be fighting in Ukraine, we’re told. Doesn’t this sound an awful lot like the rhetoric that led up to the Vietnam War? No American troops will be in Vietnam, but only American advisers. Right—So when your presidential administration policies are tanking, along with your poll numbers, what do you do to make up for some lost ground? How about start a war? Perhaps kill so-called terrorists in Syria to “protect the American people”? Wouldn’t that be just what you need to pull the country together and make the President look like a stronger leader, overcoming his negative polling?

Last week two more states were added to the list of wanting to open the Constitution up for revisions. That moves advocates to halfway to their mark of 34 states. Their main argument is that the federal government is overreaching and needs to be reined in.
But instead of getting the federal government to obey the Constitution, their focus is on changing the Constitution. That’s like saying your marriage vows are too stringent, so you focus on changing them instead of obeying them.
