Following the horrific devastation of World War II, Americans became more open to new ideas in the hope that they would prevent another global conflict and bring lasting peace. We will examine the events that led to the rise in power of international institutions, with the support of members within our government who advocated for a “New World Order.”
The ultimate goal of the United Nations, as presented in this discussion, is the creation of a unified, one-world government. Understanding history helps ensure we do not repeat it — and, more importantly, equips us to respond without delay or hesitation in determining what must be done next.
