Today, more than 85 percent of American children attend government-run schools where many parents are increasingly concerned about the direction of curriculum and culture. In this presentation, Alex Newman examines the significant changes taking place within the public-education system — from the reshaping of moral values and academic standards to policies and programs that many believe are harmful to children’s development.
He will outline why this issue matters for families and communities, and what practical steps concerned citizens can take to become informed and engaged.
