A radical immigration bill known as the “New Way Forward Act” has been referred to the House subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship. The new bill would make illegal entry into the country and reentering after being deported no longer a crime. It would also repeal current U.S. law that makes it mandatory to detain deportable aliens who have committed crimes in addition to entering the U.S. illegally.
