The U.S. Constitution, one of the greatest documents in the history of mankind, is under attack by forces seeking to open it up for potentially far-reaching, big-government changes via an Article V convention. However, Article V does not provide any of the safeguards promised by those pushing and paying for a convention. We need not risk calling a convention that would be comprised of far-left politicians and politically powerful elites slavering to get their hands on the Constitution, particularly the First and Second Amendments. Such a scheme is unnecessary, unproven, and unwise.
In this presentation, JBS Constitutional Law Scholar Joe Wolverton II, J.D., and Research Project Manager Christian Gomez will discuss the dangers of an Article V convention and highlight real solutions for reining in federal overreach.
