Answers for Frequent Questions

How much does an event cost?

Pricing varies based on the type of event. In-person events begin at $400, with higher speaker fees for some presenters. This fee covers the speaker honorarium only and does not include travel, meals, or lodging. Webinar events are $200.

What am I responsible for when hosting a speaker?

The hosting group is responsible for the speaker’s fee, transportation, meals, and hotel accommodations, as well as securing the venue and promoting the event. The Freedom’s Voices Coordinator at JBS headquarters will arrange the speaker’s flight. We will identify the most economical flight option and confirm details with the event host prior to booking.

What will I be charged for?

Initially, you will receive an event estimate that includes the speaker fee (starting at $400 and up) along with an estimated flight expense. The hosting group is responsible for covering the speaker’s transportation from their hometown to the event (whether flying or driving), as well as gas mileage from their home to the airport ($0.55 per mile).

If the speaker incurs any out-of-pocket expenses—such as baggage fees, tolls, or meals—those costs will also be billed to the hosting group. All of our speakers are aware of these policies and are mindful to keep any out-of-pocket expenses modest.

Typically, the total cost of an in-person event ranges from $900 to $1,200, depending on how far the speaker is traveling.

What does the webinar event entail?

We offer two webinar hosting options at a cost of $200 per event. Webinars may be held as national events or private events tailored to a group’s territory. Presentations run 45–60 minutes and include a live 30-minute Q&A.

The Freedom’s Voices Coordinator manages all Zoom setup and provides a professionally designed flyer with the registration link. Promotion is shared between Freedom’s Voices and the hosting group, depending on the event type.

These webinars are a valuable tool for strengthening and expanding constitutional efforts.

How much time should I give myself to plan a speaking event?

For in-person events, we recommend planning at least three months in advance to allow sufficient time for reservations and promotion. For webinars, we recommend one month, as these events are generally easier to schedule based on the speaker’s availability.

Do I have to be a member to host a speaker?

No, anyone can host an event.

Do I have to create my own promotional material?

No, we will provide the flyer along with templates for programs and tickets. You simply need to add your event information and take them to your local print shop.

Will the speaker bring his own projector?

In most cases, no. You will need to provide all required audio and video equipment.

What if I need help?

Your local coordinator is a great place to start. Our Freedom Voice’s coordinator is also always at your disposal to help you in whatever way they can.

Do I have to pay upfront?

No, you will be sent an invoice after the event has happened. We give you 30 days after the event to make your payment.

What happens if our speaker cancels?

If a speaker cancels, the speaker is responsible for reimbursing any costs incurred. If the event is canceled for any reason, including inclement weather, the hosting group remains responsible for all associated costs.

Can we film our event?

No. Due to the proliferatory nature of the internet, all too often our videos have ended up in the wrong hands and been used to send the wrong message. It is for this reason that we ask you to not film your event.
