The philosopher George Santayana said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” In the book, In the Shadows of the Deep State, author and former JBS CEO Arthur Thompson exposed the handling of the Vietnam War as a deliberate debacle by members of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) – the principal organization advocating for a one-world, New World Order.
Defeat was snatched from the jaws of victories in battle won by the fighting men of the United States Armed Forces. The U.S. military was prevented from pursuing and attacking targets that would have won the war. Victory was given away at the negotiating table by CFR member Henry Kissinger.
History has again repeated itself in Afghanistan.
As we at The John Birch Society and our news affiliate The New American magazine have repeatedly shown from the start, the Afghan War was led by CFR members including General Petraeus, who subsequently became the head of the CIA and got caught in a sex scandal which forced him to resign and plead guilty to one count against him.
From there, he went to leading the CFR’s task force on merging the United States, Canada, and Mexico, into a unified North America, boasting that “After America comes North America.” Such a plan would abrogate the Declaration of Independence and Constitution along with the Bill of Rights. This scheme is commonly referred to, among conservatives, as the “North American Union.”
In a matter of days, we witnessed the rapid sweeping advancement of the Taliban across all of Afghanistan, the fall of the U.S.-backed Afghan government, and the Taliban takeover of the whole country, including Kabul.
In the process, Afghans who once helped the U.S. are now living fear of retribution. Despite withdrawing all of our military and evacuated many of our government personnel in Afghanistan, the U.S. government has stated that they may not try to safely evacuate all remaining U.S. citizens.
In addition, U.S. forces and our allies have abandoned billions of dollars’ worth of advanced and modern military equipment, weapons, armored vehicles, and aircrafts – effectively surrendering them over to the Taliban.
Much of this is already on its way to Pakistan and ultimately Communist China, according to interviews on FOX News of Afghani experts.
Pakistan and China are close military allies even as U.S. taxpayers pay for the military and intelligence capabilities of Pakistan. The Pakistani military and intelligence service have long aided the Taliban. We pay Pakistan and they help the Taliban.
This is how screwed up our foreign policy and military leadership is, particularly the CIA. However, is this the result of repeated bumbling and unfortunate coincidences?
Instead of removing American citizens and equipment before withdrawing our military, we did the opposite: withdrawing our military and abandoning our citizens and equipment to the mercy of the Taliban.
This begs the question, who engineered this withdrawal? How could it have been so badly done?
It goes back to the book In the Shadows of the Deep State. As in the case of the Vietnam War, the people in charge of the current Afghan situation are also members of the CFR. The following is a brief list of those involved:
- CIA Director William J. Burns;
- Deputy CIA Director David S. Cohen;
- Secretary of Defense Gen. Lloyd J. Austin, III;
- Assistant Secretary of Defense Kathleen H. Hicks;
- Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken; and
- Under Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman.
All of these are members of the CFR.
In addition to these individuals, over two dozen high-level members of the intelligence community and military leadership in the Biden administration are members of the CFR. We have a reprint from our magazine, The New American, titled “CFR: Still the Power Behind the Throne,” which documents these individuals. The reprint is available as a FREE PDF download. Physical print copies can also be purchased from ShopJBS.org.
Since its founding a century ago, in 1921, the CFR has been steadily surrendering the sovereignty of the United States seeing as their members have gained foreign policy positions in the federal government.
Just a few weeks prior to the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark A. Milley stated that a Taliban takeover is not a foregone conclusion. The week of the fall of Afghanistan, he said “nothing I or anyone else saw indicated the collapse.” Yet he is supposed to know what he is doing – obviously he doesn’t.
Instead, during his congressional testimony, Gen. Milley expressed more concern about so-called “white rage” from patriotic Americans than he did about actual terrorists.
While some have criticized the Biden administration as being weak (as it appears), such appearances can be deceiving. What can have the appearance of weakness or stupidity can simply be treason.
To better understand what we mean, The John Birch Society encourage you to read book In the Shadows of the Deep State. After you read it, keep it beside you as a reference when you watch the evening news in order to look up the people presented as experts.
TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTION, in addition to reading both our reprint “CFR: Still the Power Behind the Throne” and the book In the Shadows of the Deep State, we encourage you to contact your members of Congress to expose and stop CFR treachery in our government.
Tell your U.S. representative and senators to eliminate CFR members from appointments! Urge them not to support or confirm any members of the Council on Foreign Relations into the federal government.
Although we provide a way to easily email legislators, we know from long experience that it takes a lot more interaction with your legislators to get your point across than that provided by emails alone.
That's why we provide an easy way not only to email them, but to contact them by phone, tweet, and even video message them.
