 e of the Robert Welch Book Club is to give participants an opportunity to 
 gain a deeper understanding of the wisdom of our founder and the philosoph
 y of The John Birch Society. Members of the Book Club will become more eff
 ective in promulgating the cause of Americanism. They will gain a better w
 orking knowledge of Constitutional Originalism\, obtain a proper historica
 l perspective\, and gain an active working knowledge of The John Birch Soc
 iety and its goals.\n\nObjective: The goal of the Book Club is not to supp
 lant the activities of JBS members in the completion of their monthly duti
 es\, in fact the Book Club’s hope is to augment and draw attention to Th
 e John Birch Society’s weekly and monthly activities as these are born o
 ut of the works of Robert Welch. In less than a year\, members will have s
 ystematically\, completed the majority of our founder's published works.\n
 \nExpectations: Members of the Book Club should try to keep up with the as
 signments as they are given. We will attempt to read at a pace that suits 
 our current readers. While some with handicaps may wish to listen to the a
 udio versions of these presentations\, this privilege is reserved for thos
 e with a true reading disability. Reading books will be the requirement fo
 r all able-bodied participants\, as reading is the greatest means of gaini
 ng permanent knowledge. \n\nFormality: Classes will be informal\, and the 
 leader will serve only as a guide and moderator\, who uses small prompts t
 hat will be given to ensure the class stays focused on the material having
  been read that week.\n\nTime and Place: Classes will be held Sunday eveni
 ngs from 7 to 8pm\, via Zoom. Upon registration\, you will receive the ini
 tial assignment along with a Zoom link. Registrants must obtain the curre
 nt book (hard copy or PDF) at least one week before class starts in order 
 to read the assigned pages before attending the Zoom meeting. We will not
