  the Robert Welch Book Club is to give participants an opportunity to gain
  a deeper understanding of the wisdom of our founder and the philosophy of
  The John Birch Society. Members of the Book Club will become more effecti
 ve in promulgating the cause of Americanism. They will gain a better worki
 ng knowledge of Constitutional Originalism\, obtain a proper historical pe
 rspective\, and gain an active working knowledge of The John Birch Society
  and its goals.\n\nObjective: The goal of the Book Club is not to supplant
  the activities of JBS members in the completion of their monthly duties\,
  in fact the Book Club’s hope is to augment and draw attention to The Jo
 hn Birch Society’s weekly and monthly activities as these are born out o
 f the works of Robert Welch. In less than a year\, members will have syste
 matically\, completed the majority of our founder's published works.\n\nEx
 pectations: Members of the Book Club should try to keep up with the assign
 ments as they are given. We will attempt to read at a pace that suits our 
 current readers. While some with handicaps may wish to listen to the audio
  versions of these presentations\, this privilege is reserved for those wi
 th a true reading disability. Reading books will be the requirement for al
 l able-bodied participants\, as reading is the greatest means of gaining p
 ermanent knowledge. \n\nFormality: Classes will be informal\, and the lead
 er will serve only as a guide and moderator\, who uses small prompts that 
 will be given to ensure the class stays focused on the material having bee
 n read that week.\n\nTime and Place: Classes will be held Sunday evenings 
 from 7 to 8pm\, via Zoom. Upon registration\, you will receive the initial
  assignment along with a Zoom link. Registrants must obtain the current b
 ook (hard copy or PDF) at least one week before class starts in order to r
 ead the assigned pages before attending the Zoom meeting. We will not meet
