For far too long, the federal government has operated outside of the limitations of the U.S. Constitution. As with any rule book, the limitations are only as good as those that are enforced. The Founding Fathers knew this, and brilliantly included a method we can use to rein in an out-of-control federal government.
The states created the federal government, and as James Madison acknowledged in The Federalist, No. 45, the federal government’s powers are “few and defined,” while the states’ powers are “numerous and indefinite.” It’s time to restore state sovereignty as affirmed under the Constitution and Make America STATES Again.
