Members of the producing sector of our country came, saw and got the job done.  Exceeding the expectations of the loose association of organizers, the 9-12 Tea Party Rally in Washington on Saturday delivered over 100,000 people to the the steps of our Capitol building.  The DC mashup was a huge emotional energizer for anyone who has advocated for smaller government over the last half a century.  It could go down as the freedom movement's Woodstock, without the mud and trash and misbehavoir, but with the wild exaggerations of how many people were actually there.

I was on the scene from getting on the Pentagon City station Metro at 10:30 am until returning on the Smithsonian station Metro at 5:30pm.  In that entire time I did not witness a single altercation or even a heated shouting match.  This was a crowd of people who held real jobs.  They had to take time off work to attend and they paid their own way to get there.   Anyone in elected office isn't paying attention to what is going on here does so at their peril.

The orderly crowd was full of people who drove and flew in from around the country to express their displeasure with the "more government is the solution to every problem" attitude of our Congress.  To be sure, the crowd covered a wide spectrum of worldviews, but from talking to people and scanning across the sea of placards and T-shirts, the phrase "enough already" might have been the unifying meme of those who participated.  That is, whatever element of big governemnt many in attendance might not have been willing to give up — the ability to wage big wars being the most prominent — it did not appear that many in the crowd would disagree that whatever the right size of government might be, what we currently have is far more than enough. "Please, No more Wall Street bailouts, no more stimulus, no more government health care, no more government.  Enough already!"

Of course, with such an event in play, you knew some Birchers and their friends were going to show up.  I was the nominal instigator of a contingent from North Carolina and Virginia.   I had told people to expect a turnout of at least 25,000 possibly as high at 50,000...and if it breaks 100,000 let's all be really excited because there is no way even the controlled media can discount an outpouring of discontent like that.  

Well, even staying true to our plan of trying to qualify people with some converstion before handing them some of our Birch educational material, we easily burned through over 4,000 pieces of Real Newt DVD's, Monetary Mayhem New American reprints and Stop the NAU trifolds...If you are excited as we are at this point about how things turned out, we could sure use another $830 to cover the balance of expenses for all the material we distributed.  Don't be shy about being an after the fact participant in one of the greatest pro-Freedom events of the last 50 years.  Take the opportunity to give special thanks to those who worked the crowd on behalf of The John Birch Society for all those who couldn't make it to DC.  We were well represented.  We should all be proud that The John Birch Society was there on the scene with the most serious, most professionally done material to hand out to interested parties young and old alike.
What do we do now?  If "everything changed" after 9/11, how can we change it back after 9/12? 

There is a reason we picked the material we did to distribute at the DC Tea Party.  The Tea Party movement, still a loose association of honest grassroots organizations, is up for grabs.  GOP and War Party operatives are gunning to hijack the movement.  The number of participants who are still at the Dittohead and Bushbot level of understanding and operating with Hanitized critical thinking are suseptible to being sent down yet another dead end. 

We need to avoid another repeat of the failed 1994 Conservative Revolution.  Experts at running controlled opposition opperations, the Insiders (the ruling elite) are working to bring the likes of Newt Gingrich back for another round of false advocacy for smaller government.  That is why we are getting out copies of the McManus speech, The Real Newt Gingrich.  Gingrich is not the solution.  He is a major lackey of those creating the problem.

Likewise, we can't let the conveniently contrived sudden health care crisis debate distract us from the hand the money trust, the banking crime syndicate operating through the Federal Reserve, has had in turning our country into a nation of debt slaves.  Follow the money.  Our severe financial predicament can easily be directed into a worldwide downfall to usher in whatever New World Order president Bush and his co-conspirators were referring back in 1992.  A currency or banking collapse could be the immeditate precursor to the offering of a full-fleged North American Union as a solution, complete with it's own brand new uber alles banking cartel controlled monentary unit.

We who understand the threats posed by waging imperial wars to destroy monsters abroad — paid with fiat debt-based money created by central banks — have to be realistic.  To be successful, we have to win the battle for the hearts and minds of the majority of people who came to Washington, DC on 9-12.  We have to convince enough of these newly awakened and suddenly engergized of two essential and interwoven truths: 

1. It is utterly impossible to maintain a worldwide military empire and expect to have small government at home. 
2. It is utterly impossible to have people around the world accept unbacked fiat money for real goods and services without a worldwide military empire.

Both the imperial army and the banking system it supports must go if we are to regain the freedoms won for us on the battlefield over 200 years ago.  After that everything is easy.  

The Tea Party in DC is good beginning.  Let's get to work...
