The man was all talk and no action. Pretty speeches but no guts to put those lofty words to action when he had the chance as Governor of California and as a two-term president to do so.

Ronald Reagan was a loser when it came to keeping his word to conservatives that he would not raise the nationaldebt; that he would abolish the Department of Energy and Education and the anti-business agency-OSHA. R. Reagan let the cat out of the bag by saying that he looked up to Frankin Delano Roosevelt. No surprise since his hero FDR was the silver-tongued devil who sounded "conservative" but gave the liberals all the action once he came to power.

The late US senator Hugh Scott said it best. Conservatives have all the rhetoric but "Liberals get all the action." from pure politician to true statesmen. He just couldn't and his record speaks to the proof that he was a "liberal" in "conservative" garb. Ronald Reagan time and again would get his cape caught in the telephone booth and fail the conservatives win the day.
