Climategate at the UEA's Climate Research UnitMost people learn “The dog ate my homework” is not going to cut it as an excuse by the time they’re finished with elementary school.

But then, the folks at the University of East Anglia (UEA) aren’t “most people.”

The growing scandal over “Climategate” has already had a devastating effect on the credibility of the UEA’s Climate Research Unit (CRU) — and therefore on the entire anthropogenic “climate change” theory being pushed by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The internal CRU documents which ‘hackers’ have made public appears to document a concerted effort to suppress studies which cast doubt on the “doom and gloom” climate change scenarios, and the private sentiments expressed by the scientists associated with the CRU have led some investigators to the interpretation that an active effort to destroy data was underway. As William Jasper wrote for TheNewAmerican.com:

Some of the e-mails seem to confirm concerns that Jones, Mann, et al, have destroyed data that could expose their fraudulent methods. That appears to be the case here, where Jones suggests to Mann that he delete certain e-mails that apparently dealt with the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report (AR4), which was released in 2007. He also suggests they get other colleagues to delete related material.

In another e-mail to Mann, Jones may have set himself up for legal prosecution for attempting to thwart the UK's newly passed FOI law. Jones says, "I think I'll delete the file rather than send [it] to anyone," and "We also have a data protection act, which I will hide behind."

Now, according to a report from the Times of London, the UEA is claiming that the raw data which was used in creating the horrifying “climate change” models was all thrown away. Whoops.

Just so we’re perfectly clear, let us review what we are being asked to accept: In a few days, representatives of 192 nations will gather in Copenhagen for the UN Conference on Climate Change. Internationalists and environmental extremists intend to press for a fundamental restructuring of the global economy, with massive transfers of wealth from the industrialized nations to the Third World, while those same industrialized nations are going to be economically crippled by massive restrictions on their production of “greenhouse” gases. The head of the IPCC has publicly ridiculed the President of the United States for not getting the Senate to approve “cap and trade” in time to fund the giveaway in Copenhagen, while UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has busied himself lobbying Senators on behalf of that very same legislation. The CRU studies are of vital significance to any attempt to support the theory that human activity is responsible for climate change — and the data which was entrusted to the CRU was of vital significance to demonstrating that climate change was happening at all.

A vital element of the scientific method is repeatability; if you cannot repeat the experiment, you haven’t come anywhere near proving your theory. The data which is of crucial importance to verifying or falsifying the work undertaken by the CRU is what was simply thrown out.

According to the Timesonline.co.uk:

SCIENTISTS at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.

It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.

The UEA’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) was forced to reveal the loss following requests for the data under Freedom of Information legislation.

The data were gathered from weather stations around the world and then adjusted to take account of variables in the way they were collected. The revised figures were kept, but the originals — stored on paper and magnetic tape — were dumped to save space when the CRU moved to a new building.

While they were at it, did they delete the cure to cancer from their hard drives to get enough space for more MP3 files?

The Times report continues:

The CRU is the world’s leading centre for reconstructing past climate and temperatures. Climate change sceptics have long been keen to examine exactly how its data were compiled. That is now impossible.

Roger Pielke, professor of environmental studies at Colorado University, discovered data had been lost when he asked for original records. “The CRU is basically saying, ‘Trust us’. So much for settling questions and resolving debates with science,” he said.

Jones was not in charge of the CRU when the data were thrown away in the 1980s, a time when climate change was seen as a less pressing issue. The lost material was used to build the databases that have been his life’s work, showing how the world has warmed by 0.8C over the past 157 years.

He and his colleagues say this temperature rise is “unequivocally” linked to greenhouse gas emissions generated by humans. Their findings are one of the main pieces of evidence used by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which says global warming is a threat to humanity.

In a way, it is difficult to determine which aspect of this story is the most scandalous: That the data was thrown away at all, or that it was allegedly thrown out at least twenty years ago, and we’re just learning about this now — and only now because a Freedom of of Information request required the revelation.

No data? No science. It’s really as simple as that. The dreaded words associated with any geometry or calculus examination — ”Show your work” — apply even to the high and mighty of academia.

Prof. Pielke is right: The only arguments which the CRU can advance at this point are all variations on the theme “Just trust us” — at the same time that the documents we actually do have (that is, the documents which gave rise to “Climategate”) — give skeptics every reason to reject every study which purportedly relies on the now-absent data.

Thus, when the representatives of 192 nations gather at Copenhagen, there should be one item on the agenda: A motion to adjourn. But if a second motion were to be considered, it should be one to censure the CRU, issue them nice little conical hats, and send them to sit facing the corner.

Are we really surprised
When liars lie? These people are about as interested in the environment as the man-in-the-moon. Their only interest is control of people. Now that they are being exposed as the liars that they really are, you can be pretty certain that they will become vicious. Make no mistake about it, these people are part of the enemy.

This is a religious war...
This is a religious war. They have chosen to knowingly put their faith far ahead of the conflicting evidence. This is a religion of the worst kind and we are being FORCED to participate. While the politicians may use this as a power grab these "scientists" are using this to advance Paganism. This is a religious war and I for one don't like being told that I have to worship the tree or by default I am destroying the world.

We are the fools for letting them get this far ...

One has to wonder whether of not this "lost" data ever existed in the first place, and if it did, was it "real" data, imagined data, or "selected" data.

As though this entire situation isn't ludicrous enough as it stands, the organizers of Copenhagen insist upon continuing to act as though nothing had happened. There isn't much time left before Copenhagen... only a week. I feel it is necessary for the Congress of the United States to issue a resolution prohibiting Barack Obama from signing anything at Copenhagen. At the very minimum, there should be an official statement from Congress stating that any such signature should be in no way binding upon the nation. In other words, anything Obama says or does in Copenhagen should be taken as an INDIVIDUAL acting on his own and not as an official action of a chief of state.

Legislate the Sun
Apart from the bogus--no, NONEXISTENT--data, we already know by now that the sun has more to do with climate fluctuations, and forests give off more carbon, than the small amount of human interaction with our environment.

Let them do the study again, with several scientific peer reviews, before we hop on the train of global governance.

Global warming you can believe in
And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

The most critical "scientific" explanation for the cause of global warming is that carbon dioxide impedes or reduces reradiation of atmospheric heat. After an extende study of heat, I think I can show that heat is a form of potential energy that cannot be radiated, but rather is the result of electron vibration that simply attenuations with time when the source of energy causing the electron vibrations is removed

Global Warming Still Bogus Scientists Suddenly Realize
There’s far more evidence to suggest that pot smoking causes adult onset psychosis, as demonstrated by Al Gore’s delusional poetry, than there is proof that global warming even exists. It takes an IQ greater than one’s shoe size to pen something comparable to poetry, yet in addition to his substantial carbon footprint, Al Gore stands to net billions of US dollars for his global warming scam, upon none of which will he pay taxes.

In 1971, I first encountered the GLOBAL WARMING CULT. Terry McAuliffe was pushing the fledgling global flooding ideology out of a cleverly named unisex-clothing shop called Hang-Ups, in a converted African American Church, acquired under false pretenses and wittily christened THE ARK, on South Patrick Street, in Alexandria, Virginia. THE ARK was widely believed poised to eclipse New York’s already famous Fillmore East, but folded a short time later due to corrupt business practices.

Although persuasive, the global flooding argument didn't ring true. I knew that NASA, the military and government agencies did extensive climate research, and said as much. If global warming could melt the polar ice caps and thus cause global flooding by 1976, the alarm should come from the aforementioned sources. Perhaps not coincidentally, by 1976 the Earth’s fossil fuel deposits would also be depleted. It was a grim scenario. Terry McAuliffe, who probably named THE ARK himself, took me aside and explained, when it came to global warming; you couldn’t trust the government.

As we know, 1976 came and went without a global catastrophe. I still had that $45-dollar pair of striped slacks just like Hillary’s. I don’t know which was worse. I never regretted being booted from the cabal (I was hardly ever in), and never expected to run into Terry or his disciples again, especially decades later in sunny California. Yet there they were on the Central Coast, whistling the same old tune with some major new innovations. They applied the global warming hysteria to higher education. Like global warming itself, education now became a massive fraud scheme designed to enrich the GLOBAL WARMING CULT. By 1995, The Brethren Of The Coast had grown exponentially. There would be much more to manmade global warming than mere water spotting: http://theseedsof9-11.com

Global warming is confusing, make up your mind!
is it true or not?
is the earth heating up or cooling off?
