UN Conference on the World Financial and Economic CrisisThe UN’s Conference on the World Financial and Economic Crisis opened on June 24, with the usual platitudes about not abandoning the world’s poor regardless of the world’s economic woes.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said: “Surely, if the world can mobilize more than US$18 trillion to keep the financial sector afloat, it can find more than US$18 billion to keep commitments to Africa.” While that leftist of all leftists (even the Associated Press calls him a leftist), General Assembly President Miquel D’Escoto Brockmann, who is seeking an inclusive global solution to the current economic crisis said:

It is neither humane nor responsible to build a Noah's Ark only to save the existing economic system, leaving the vast majority of humanity to their fate and to suffer the negative effects of a system imposed by an irresponsible but powerful minority.

D’Escoto announced on the day before the conference opened that an agreement had already been reached on a blueprint for a global response to this crisis by a group of “facilitators,” with the text of the draft being released on the previous Monday. That draft still must be approved by member states.

The devil is always in the details, and if adopted the plan would cause severe and insurmountable financial burdens for the American people (who the UN always looks at as cash cow), and final destruction of the dollar as a world currency.

The details call for "new voluntary and innovative sources of financing initiatives to provide additional stable sources of development finance," labeled solidarity levies, and would mostly involve taxes on greenhouse gas emissions and financial transactions such as stock trades — none of which would be voluntary. The United States would be required to devote 0.7 percent of its Gross National Income to foreign aid, via a commitment to the UN Millennium Development Goals, which requires $845 billion from your pocket and mine. This is all courtesy of the Global Poverty Act, which was introduced by a certain Senator Barack Obama.

Now President Obama will more than likely direct his ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, to approve the document, bypassing Congress’s approval, but stick them with a way to pay for the whole mess, which can only be done with taxpayer money. It is in essence an international bailout that will fly under the general public’s radar.

Accuracy in Media has an excellent analysis of the UN’s plans. Author Cliff Kincaid points out that if implemented, this new document would in fact mark the end of U.S. dominance as an economic power. Quoting the document, "We acknowledge the calls by many states for further study of the feasibility and advisability of a more efficient reserve system, including the possible function of SDRs in any such system and the complementary roles that could be played by various regional arrangements." Kincaid adds, “SDRs are Special Drawing Rights, a form of international currency that enables global institutions like the International Monetary Fund to provide more foreign aid to the rest of the world. The U.S. pays for SDRs through its financial contributions to the IMF.”

Kincaid also notes that the document urges socialism as a solution, again quoting the UN document itself: "Insufficient emphasis on equitable human development has contributed to significant inequalities among countries and peoples. Other weaknesses of a systemic nature also contributed to the unfolding crisis, which has demonstrated the need for more effective government involvement to ensure an appropriate balance between the market and public interest."

Of course, the most corrupt, ineffective, bureaucratic international body on the planet offers itself as the institution most able to handle the governance and financial structure of the world, effectively ending national sovereignty: "The United Nations, on the basis of its universal membership and legitimacy, is well positioned to participate in various reform processes aimed at improving and strengthening the effective functioning of the international financial system and architecture," the document says.

The real name of all of this is one world government, something the UN has worked for since its inception.

For now, we'll not elaborate on how unconstitutional and destructive this is of our God-given rights, liberties and freedoms. Remember even if you aren’t taxed directly for things like ocean fishing rights and pollution emissions permits, indirectly you will be. Will your personal income be steady enough and high enough to cover the financial burden of supporting the rest of the world, while you are taxed on levels never before seen on both a national and international level to pay for the trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars your president and congress is committing to, on your behalf?

The time for a repeat of 1776 is here. It is time to stand up and fight. It seems to me that one of our Founding Fathers very plainly stated the the tree of liberty has to be fed, from time to time, with the blood of tyrants. I wonder where we would be right now if our Founding Fathers had gutlessly wrung their hands, weeping that the British Empire was just too big and too powerful to fight? I wonder what they would think of us now? I'm betting that they would be thoroughly disgusted with our weak, gutless, cowardly posture and our endless excuse puking. I'll tell you what: if a real fight gets going, I'm heading straight for the front lines, and I couldn't care less who reads these words that I write of my own free will. If you're one of the would-be tyrants, I want you to know that I am your enemy, It's time to take a stand and crush these filthy swine.

government can solve poverty
Look, why don't they just really crank up the presses and give everyone a million dollars so we'd all be equally rich?

one way to fight, economically
We can undercut their fiat currencies by simply not using it.

Agree with as many as possible to Just Say No to inflatable (i.e. de-valuable) fiat currency, and do your business in specie (and other barter of value for value). A handy calculator for getting started is found at

I have lived 66 years and my husband 68 years in the greatest country on earth. If it comes down to a physical battle, we, too, will be heading for the front lines. A great patriot once said "Give me liberty or give me death". Life in an unfree world is no life at all. The Jews in the Warsaw ghetto certainly understood that. In the meantime, we do all we can to educate our fellow citizens about our American heritage, and the means of preserving it. With God's grace, enough are listening and taking action, using the Constitution as their guide. Come on ladies and gentlemen, let's dig in our heels and fight this leviathan. Our posterity deserve that, and our Creator expects it!

I served my country in the United States Army during Viet Nam at the Pentagon and Belgium.
I am dismayed by the changes in our once great country, but still the best country in the
world. It's sad how long it has taken us all to realize things are not as they should be.
But now, we must not delay. We must talk to our friends, neighbors, family, and leaders
and fight to make our voices heard and stop the decline from turning into a mud slide.
