Murdering Abortionists PDF  | Print |  E-mail

New born babyWe have arrived at another moment of truth in America. In 1968, at a time when half-educated college students and dropouts of one kind or another were carrying around a little red book called “Quotations from Chairman Mao,” a gunman pulled a trigger and snuffed out the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Political power, said Mao, “grows out of the barrel of a gun.” But the bullet that flew from the assassin’s gun did not give him power. For real power flows from the hearts and minds of free men and women and guns do not silence that power. They give us pause to reflect, recollect and morally rearm.

I do not wish to dignify either the assassin or, especially, his victim in calling to mind, at the occasion of the killing of the abortionist in Wichita, the slaying of Martin Luther King, Jr. Instead, George Tiller’s murder should remind us that violence begets violence and the routine, planned destruction of innocent human life is a weak and poisoned reed on which to build a social order.

President Obama was quick to decry “heinous acts of violence.” His crocodile tears might better be shed for those millions of babies, some 4,000 a day, who are killed by a “medical procedure” carried out by “abortion providers” on behalf of women exercising their right of “reproductive choice.” Perhaps only God knows for sure how many of those late-term, partial birth abortions the infamous doctor performed. The procedure is almost too wicked to describe.

The infant, at the age of viability, is drawn out feet first so only the head remains in the birth canal. The skull is punctured, the brain sucked out and the skull collapsed. This is done, time and again, on living human babies in the late stages of fetal development. This is the sort of thing that Obama could not bring himself to oppose either as a state and national legislator or as the nation’s chief executive. Only when the killer is killed does the President of the United States decry “heinous acts of violence.”

It has not always been so in America. Forty yeas ago, a few states were “liberalizing” their abortion laws. Fewer than 50 years ago, a woman who sought an abortion flew to Sweden or Denmark to obtain one. That was when abortion was the evil that dared not speak its name. It still does not.

When do defenders of a “woman’s right to choose” ever speak of abortion? They call it by other, less degrading names. It is “choice,” “reproductive freedom,” “a service,” you name it. They won’t. There has never been a more intellectually dishonest or more foul, deadly, hypocritical, double-talking, duplicitous movement in the history of America than the abortion “rights” movement.

Let Obama weep for the abortionist. He has only recently elevated the abortionist’s political friend and beneficiary to the high post of Secretary of Health and Human Services.

But let this be a lesson to Catholic clerics who, while opposing abortion, promote the concept of a government-sponsored program of “national health care.” Let them put their vaunted compassion to the sobering test of asking why we should entrust to the not-so-tender mercies of a government that promotes and subsidizes abortion and embryonic stem cell research, that condones and practices torture, that kills with unmanned planes innocent men, women and children in far-off lands, the health care of 300 million Americans.

Let it be a lesson, too, to administrators of Catholic hospitals who wish to merge or affiliate with secular institutions that provide abortion as a women’s “health care service.” Let us speak plainly about such “services” as Americans did in days when clear thinking was more often practiced and more greatly appreciated. The “greatest generation” not only endured and overcame the Great Depression and fought and won World War II. That same generation of Americans also conducted trials of war criminals in a place called Nuremburg. One who got away was Josef Mengele, the infamous “angel of death.” He lived out his life as an “abortion provider” in South America.

So let Obama shed his crocodile tears for the “angel of death” in Wichita, Kansas, who was killed in church, of all places. Let those with clearer minds and cleaner consciences never stop putting before the president the hypocrisy of his false and foolish sentiments. Let him weep for a single abortionist while he apparently cares not about the millions of human souls lost to abortion each year. He pities the embattled “freedom of choice,” but ignores the loss of both life and liberty in an unimpeded culture of death.

Edmund Burke was a great Englishman, but his condemnation of the French Revolution brought a memorable rebuke from Thomas Paine, who lamented the irony of a Burke’s tears for the dying monarchy, with all its “decent drapery” and charming customs, and his apparent indifference to the lives of peasants routinely oppressed and crushed beneath that same monarchy. Paine’s rebuke well describes Obama’s grief, which in turn, reflects the sorrow of abortion rights crowd that feels Lady Liberty is not really free if she doesn't have access to an abortion “doctor.” As Paine complained about Burke:

“He pities the plumage and neglects the dying bird.”

Not only do they try to maintain the freedom to murder, but they also try to silence anyone who would oppose them by labeling them rabble rousers:

Unfortunately, while this issue will bring abortion back into the mainstream we need to continue to win hearts and minds one by one, as a top down solution from the Supreme Court isn't feasible.

Principled rhetoric
Such clear thinking, such good rhetoric, such commitment to sound principle - as attested in the above essay - is a reason I joined the John Birch Society. I hope our numbers will soon be multiplied. Caesar, as Pharaoh, will fall. Where are the courageous.

I abhor violence and murder against any individual, so protest this act against an abortion provider. However, life begins at conception; taking that life at any stage is murder; protesting to a "government" that refuses to accept those facts, and enacts and upholds a "law" enabling these murders to continue, appears to fall on many deaf ears. Murder is not a federal crime, but a state crime, and states should punish the criminals - even to the point of ignoring that illegal, federal "law"! - copied & pasted from related previous topic.

Signed, Beacon

One Great Testament to the Helpless Innocent...
You did a beautiful job showing how much of a hypocrite Obama and the others really are...
Who Make and Pass Laws to support these satanic monsters, who will perform this never ever justified act of sticking his hands into the birth canal and pulling out a innocent - close to full term, healthy baby by the legs. Everything but it's little head, then in the most gruesome, evil, satanic way, plung a hole into the base of it's skull while still alive...

How can they say this has to be done to save the life of the mother??? My God, The procedure the Dr. is doing would be much harder and more traumatic on her than just going ahead giving birth. Or if he's breach birthing with is hands in there to, if doing all that did not kill the mother, then just pulling the baby's head out without killing it is not going to make any difference in the life of the mother. Either way she is giving birth to the baby, so what fool could possibly believe that this Murder could ever be to save the life of the mother??? Lies, Lies and more lies...

We and this whole country are being judged by God, because of this sick depraved act, that as a nation we KEEP ALLOWING to go on and on... For all of these foolish people who call themselves Christians but think they can keep supporting and voting into office people like Obama and 90% of the Democrats, their party or pro chice Republicans, I would not count on making it to Heaven, because those babies innocent blood is on your hands too. So you had better stop, ask forgivness, repent and then never ever vote for another candidate of any party who supports murdering Babies...

Here comes the 60s again. Get ready
Martin Luther King, Jr. and George Tiller were probably thought by some to be more valuable dead than alive.

Libertine leftist Alinskyites
The kind of people we will be dealing with are libertine leftist Alinskyites. They can be beaten. Expose them for what they are and stay after them.

Amen!

...when you challenge the left with the truth this is what they do! Attack the messenger and not the message. They do this so they use this murder to make us out to be loons or extremist, when in fact they are the ones that take away the right of every American citizen that was aborted before they were born.

God forgive us for we know not what we do!

I do not mourn the death of Tiller but rejoice at the renewed face of the earth with all the babies that will not die at his hands.

Enjoyed the commentary. Very thoughtful. When Tiller's murder was reported it made me think of the abolitionist John Brown and Thoreau's "A Plea for Captain John Brown". I don't know anything about the assassin, but I am sure Thoreau would have celebrated his cause. I know I do not shed any tears for Tiller.
