"Religious" Left's Influence PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Medical experts know that pathogenic bacteria and viruses aren’t the only worrisome microbes out there. They speak of a “vector,” which is a bacterium that in itself is generally harmless but can serve as a host to a harmful, if not deadly, virus.

Rick WarrenThe American left has long strived to use religion as a vector to carry the deadly message of the Democrats to gullible Christians, and in this year’s election, it paid off big time. Evangelicals fell hard for the message of Obama thanks to numerous hardworking disease-carrying vectors among the religious community.

Rick Warren is easily identified as a key player for the Democrats, not by the religious right but by none other than Howard Dean. Who are we to argue?

According to the San Francisco Chronicle
a while back:

Howard Dean, Democratic party chairman, recently credited Rick Warren and Joel Osteen with helping the Democrats.
Dean specifically cited the positive impacts of Christian leaders such as Rick Warren - [...] — and of young pastor Joel Osteen….

Warren recently lamented America’s lack of civility in a televised speech and urged everyone to be more civil. However, someone from Rick’s Saddleback church pulled some strings and had a Christian web site critical of Warren taken down. And on a radio show, guest Pastor Wiley Drake reported that after he had recently criticized Rick Warren for his participation in the Obama inauguration, he began getting nasty emails from people who said they were members of Rick’s Saddleback Church, with many using profanity, lambasting Wiley for criticizing their dear leader. Civility seems to be a one-way street for these folks.

Now a group including Tony Campolo, a prominent spokesperson for the religious left, has risen to defend Rick Warren and his decision to offer the invocation at Obama's inauguration. In an open letter, these gentle champions of civil discourse harshly condemn more-traditionalist Christians who object to Warren's being unequally yoked with the pro-abortion Democrat.

Right-wing religious leaders are attacking the purpose-driven Pastor Rick Warren for inviting Senator Barack Obama to speak at a seminar about AIDS. Why the attacks? Because they disagree with Obama's politics. Well, we're hitting back.

Hitting back? What happened to turning the other cheek? Shouldn’t they do as Jesus preached and turn their sweet pink cheeks for some more of what was dished out, and not hit back? Tsk tsk tsk!

The letter opens:

Several right-wing religious organizations, including the National Clergy Council, recently blasted Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church for inviting Senator Barack Obama to speak on World AIDS Day this Friday, December 1. It's unfortunate that these groups would exploit the Christian faith to advance their divisive agenda -- an agenda that gives almost exclusive attention to a few wedge issues while ignoring the diversity of problems plaguing American communities.

“A few wedge issues” like that laughable matter of the sanctity of human life perhaps? Or perhaps the fact that the AIDS agenda is full of homosexual activists who we traditionalists believe promote AIDS by condoning “gay” sex? Tony and his crowd think it is petty of us to quibble over things like that. I wonder if he’d quibble with Kim Jong Il over those torture camps where Christians and other dissidents are routinely beaten to death? Well, if North Korea’s Dear Leader were to ask Mr. Campolo to join him in jointly solving the problem of, say, avian flu in Asia, would Mr. Campolo join him, standing beside him on a stage with his arm around Jong Il's shoulder, wearing a big possum-eating grin? Because we quaint traditionalist Christians think that would be tantamount to lending prestige to a wanton killer. I won’t hold my breath for a “civil” response.

But more to the point: if it is un-Christian to "exploit the Christian faith to advance their divisive agenda," then why isn't it un-Christian to exploit the Christian faith to promote the atheist ideology whose leaders have so far killed over 100 million innocent lives since the Russian Revolution?

Not much ink is spilled over the religious left and its pernicious influence on American culture and politics. Yet the effect of their willingness to compromise with evil is absolutely staggering; without Rick Warren and the evangelical vote, Obama may well not have been elected.

By the way, what is a group of “Christian” leftists doing defending Rick Warren, who generally purports to be a member of the religious right?

But what is "Evangelicalism" in America any more other than another mainstream religious group striving for scraps from the table of corrupt secular politics?

The "liberal" left
Mr. Hank, you have done nothing less than tell the truth. I've known many "liberal" left people in my life and I have never, ever know a more hypocritical, phony, self-centered, bunch. They're all sweetness and light until one has the temerity to disagree with them on any point and then you'd better watch out. I'm thinking that the "liberal" religious left will bring in the world church which is coming as surely as is the world government.

The phony Christians
I joined a Facebook group called ___________for CHRIST and thought I'd educate a few Christians on the radical Islamic connections of Obama. No sooner did I post my opinion onthat page that I was confronted by a bunch of left wingers who resorted to personal attacks on me. No questions as to where did I get my information. They were not interested in the facts but in shutting up the person giving them the facts.

It also deserves mention that Pastor Warren is a member of the CFR, as reported on this site previously.

I must say, the "religious right" can be just as bellicose in dogmatism as the left. And we must be careful of joining with our common enemy, who is "accuser of the brethren."

That said, truth is our friend. And I have been praying for Rick Warren, as I have for President Obama and former President Bush, and the church and country at large: that alliances with evil be exposed, and the people of God rise up in humility, grace, and courage, so we may may bring glory to Christ in the coming storms by helping our neighbors. Including the unborn.

The 'liberal"and/or religious left
That's another favorite tactic of the "liberal" left; to call names and accuse others of what they themselves (the "liberal" left, that is) are guilty. I was always told that name-calling, insult and/or profanity were the indicators of an exhausted intellect. As for facts, why would the "liberal" left want to bother with something so small and inconsequential? They are chameleons and are whatever suits them at the moment.

Let's not kid ourselves
As has been earlier noted Rick Warren is a CFR internationalist. As is also noted in the article- and I think this a good observation on the author's part-"evangelicalism" has indeed become another corrupt form of politicking whose combatants fight bravely but foolishly at the table of power for scraps (which is what they often get as their values continue to be betrayed over and over).

In that vein Rick Warren is (in my opinion) not a real Christian pastor, but a man set up by the elite of this nation to mislead Christians through false biblical doctrine made palitable through long-term reorientation away from the basic the doctrines of the faith. He has, in the past, supported homosexuality, abortion, foreign aid, interventionism, and other doctrines (in the name of tolerance naturally) that most Christians- especially and including Fundamentalists- would reject outright.

This man is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and I dare say he is not even a real Christian, and thus his appearance at Obama's inauguration was perfect, since his phony form of Christianity ought to be as manifest as Obama's phony form of Americanism.

New World Order lead by Athiest
Be careful not to fall back into the trap of thinking the Republican Party is the Christian party. We have been deceived by both sides. G. Bush has been an overspender, and promoter of the NWO. 911 was a deceptive act, ranking up there with Hitler's deceptions. See 911Truth, or AE for 911 truth.

We must disclose the High Cabal corruption, by the deceptive NWO so the true Christian nation can return to liberty and justice.

SDS Connections?
The August 2008 issue of Time Magazine says of Rick Warren- "He led a courthouse march for the 1960's radical group Students for a Democratic Society, or SDS". I seriously doubt that one could just show up and lead a "march" for an organization like the SDS. His connections to the SDS should be investigated and reported.

Then on the other hand archtoplee makes a good point too...both left and right Religious folks have done this...

Yes, we must remember that Rick Warren is a member of the CFR...up there with the big leagues now!

RE: Getting my affairs in order as I was smeared during Carter's Presidency
I am joining the Connecticut Sons of the American Revolution by dint of my late father's and my American Revolution ancestors as part of my getting my affairs together before too late for what's left of my family ravaged by Liberals. I was smeared during Carter's Presidency because my late father was WWII and I was Vietnam - both Dad and I had VW Beetles which I told Dad were "Hitlerwagens" as my alma mater JU left me with a Hitlerwagen instead of a Corvair because Ralph Nader did what he did and a gas station job at CFR David Rockefeller's Esso Station in Jacksonville, Florida. LBJ with Tom Watson's help had Dad fired from GE and blackballed from industry. My book vindicates the Society and my family as people thought Dad and I were Nazi sympathizers due to the VW Beetles we had. RADM Peter Steele, USN is in Heaven as CFR and UN man Tom Watson of IBM is not in Heaven. I am trying to get the Soviet planted UN out of NYC so Help Me God. BGen Peter F. Steele, USMC [Ret]

Thank you, Mr. Hank
Donald,

Thank you for this excellent presentation. Rick Warren has long stated getting the "whole bird" by assembling the left wing and the right wing.

The Inaugural ceremonies certainly reflect Warren's personal ambitions and the collective end game of the globalists.
