Knowing how the globalists work, it is not surprising to see the story from Reuters reporting that the EU is going to try the carrot-on-a-stick method to get Ireland to approve the Lisbon Treaty in round two of the referenda wars.

Declan Ganley of LibertasIreland’s electorate rejected membership in the EU in late June of 2008. Organized labor and businesses and farmers wanted it, but the general population said “No.” They did not want to ratify the EU's constitution, as it was written.

Almost immediately the pressure was on to change the will of the people. France’s Sarkozy and Germany’s Merkel, top eurocratic socialists, united their efforts to push for a second referendum in Ireland. They would not take “no” for an answer and insisted that Ireland be made to save the EU's re-written constitution, known as the Lisbon Treaty.

Declan Ganley, president of Libertas, accused "the Irish Government of betraying the Irish people by planning to hold a second referendum on the Lisbon Treaty." Which is what was planned.

At the December 11 and 12 meeting of the EU in Brussels, 26 EU member states tried to get Ireland to capitulate and call for a second referendum. Of course, there would be no incentive for Ireland to do so unless concessions were promised. And the EU lawyers have come up with a slick idea to get the job done.

If the new concessions or provisions were added to the original Lisbon Treaty in a separate clause, the document would then have to be re-ratified by all the EU members, a risk they are not likely to take.

Instead they are spelling out the legalities of the specific provisions for Ireland, i.e., guaranteeing them the right to “largely” determine their own taxation, abortion laws and neutrality, placing said provisions in the accession treaty with EU candidate, Croatia. The Eurocrats are banking on Croatia’s membership flying through because of the Irish provisions that are worked in.

They see it as a win-win situation: Croatia would get EU membership, Ireland would be diverted by the glad tidings of the special provisions ensuring a call for a second referendum there, and the EU gets its constitution ratified by all member states.

To quote the JBS newsfeed from above, as the concessions Ireland wants are probably not going to really be legally binding in the long-term:

The good people of Ireland had best be aware of the motivations and methods about to be used on them in order to get them to capitulate, without bloodshed at least at first, to the bold demands of a socialist/fascist EU. Ireland’s sovereignty and freedom is at stake here, but will her own officials sell her down the river, or will the people be forced into acceptance, will they be bought off with empty promises, or can they hold the proverbial fort?

They'll eventually try to have us form a North American Union and there'll be people who actually believe that'd be a good idea!!

Ever since I've 'open my eyes' I've been shocked at what is happening to this country, as well as others, while the majority of people continue to live willfully ignorant of reality and the path our nation's leaders have decided to follow.

EU TRICKERY
Another form of trickery is involved in the actual planning of the second vote and the way that it is intended the people of Ireland have less choice, and (even) less information than they had last time. Politicians are working along with state radio and television to ensure that the No campaign is given minimum coverage. They are actively trailing the ways in which they will circumvent the concept that both sides should get equality of coverage. What they are effectively saying is that as most of the elected politicians are in favour of Lisbon, that is how the coverage should be weighted! And what is more, state radio and tv has begun the campaign of vilification of the No campaign, starting with a very thin, tendentious 'documentary' about Declan Ganley which was effectively part of a state sponsored smear campaign. Note that no such documentary has appeared about the dealings of the Irish political class or the Yes campaign. And neither will it. This is the real issue - will the Irish people see through the smear campaign on state radio and tv, the failure to give the No campaign an airing and the all out war on the No side? I hope so.

Road to Hell
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. That's why liberal socialists are getting away with murder. People 'think' they're doing society a favor.
