"Study the past, analyze the present, and dream the future...."

— Robert Welch

JBS 50th AnniversaryFor 50 years The John Birch Society and its members have taken that advice from the organization's founder to heart. Now, to celebrate those decades of work to preserve America's rich legacy of freedom, The John Birch Society is hosting a gala celebration at Headquarters.

The celebration features top, nationally known speakers giving seminars on important topics. Headlined by Congressman Ron Paul, other speakers will include Constitution Party Presidential candidate Dr. Chuck Baldwin, Dr. Steve Bonta, Rev. Steven Craft, William F. Jasper, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, and Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America.

The event will also feature panel discussions. One of the panels will feature state legislators Randy Brogdon of Oklahoma, Karen Johnson of Arizona, Stephen Sandstrom of Utah, and Jim Guest of Missouri. Participants will be able to discuss strategies to build better relationships with elected officials.

Other panel discussions include one with the Editors and Contributors to The New American magazine, a discussion of online grass-roots activism, and a panel discussion on reaching out to tomorrow's leaders.

The event culminates on Saturday when Art Thompson, CEO of The John Birch Society looks ahead to the next 50 years. Also on Saturday, Hid Welch, the son of JBS founder Robert Welch, will offer his personal insight into the nation's founding documents, and will review the timeless truths so many have fought to keep. Dr. Ron Paul (pending the vote in Congress on the Bailout bill) will then address the gathering and will explain how the Republic can be restored with groups like The John Birch Society and the Campaign for Liberty leading the way.

The John Birch Society, Fifty Years of fighting for family and freedom -- and looking ahead to 50 more!
