THE NORTHWEST ORDINANCE and THE RELIGION OF AMERICA In 1787 the same congress that ratified the Constitution, were the ones that encouraged Religion, morality, and knowledge,being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged... The purpose of Seperation of Church and State was not to seperate God from education and government but rather to prevent the government from embracing any one particular religion as has happened historically. Regarding Religion and Education the question was then naturally asked "whos religion"? Religion, Morality and Knowledge was the anchor of the American Culture from 1620 to 1936. The Founders did not create rights. They re-discovered them and realized there were no devine right of kings, rights were a gift from God to all men. Samuel Adams said -"This is the religion of America.... Ben Franklin said "These are the fundamentals of all sound religion..... Here are the 5 things that all sound religions have in common.... 1. There exists a creator who made all things and mankind should recognize and worship him. 2. The creator has revealed a moral code of behavior for happy living which distinguishes right from wrong. 3. The creator holds mankind responsible for the way they treat each other. 4. All mankind live beyond this life. 5.In the next life individuals are judged for their conduct in this one. These are the uniting principles of morality that were to be taught in schools and was mandated by congress. It was not until the demise of McGuffy Readers that Religion and Morality were abandoned in our schools to be replaced by a content of trivia and amusement.

This group is dedicated to bringing together like minded Americans into the John Birch Society, spreading the message of freedom and liberty, and educating our fellow citizens starting in Fayette County, PA.

This is an informal group designed to provide guidance to those living for Christ, especially in consideration of the times that we are living. This group has been formed first and foremost to honor our Lord and Savior. Secondly to aid in carrying forth our Christian lifestyle, and the engaging of the culture in such ways as to encourage the return to our governing documents as intended by our founding fathers. Finally the group hopes to provide discussion on the Biblical parameters within whose boundaries we must operate as it relates to organizing, voting, promoting, and if needed possibly even resistance.

I'm convinced that the main Strategy of counteracting Obama, other than Prayer, needs to be frequent gun practice. I mean literally that this should take priority over ANY other action, although if Patriots have spare time they can do other actions.

THE FOUNTAIN: will focus on sharing information and stories of members' recruitment and activism efforts. In addition our newer members will have the benefit of the wealth of knowledge and experience gained over the years by our veteran members. This wisdom and experience is valuable in avoiding the pitfalls and traps set for "conservatives" by the establishment. This group is for the sharing of information,while most groups focus mainly on Federal issues this group will try to focus on new ideas yet old priciples. We will focus on local and state issues, while always keeping a close eye and ear on the federal circus. This group will be for open and lively debate on all issues. I hope with the help of all members to frequently add information on local, state, and federal issues that many may not be aware of. Please use this group as a conduit for petition drives to restore the constitutionality of this great country. While this group is based in the Wabash Valley we are open to ideas from all groups on how to better get the word out and to help others in their pursuits of freedom.

Activist members and supporters of The John Birch Society have been gearing up to be in DC for the Tea Party festivities on September 12th. We will have squads of Birchers working the crowds handing out Birch educational material - in particular our recently released DVD, "The Real Newt Gingrich", our END THE FED slim jim and our New American article reprint, "How Monetary Mayhem Began."
