At the bottom of the The New American home page, there is a banner named "The John Birch Society". Underneath is text with an embedded link that takes you to the JBS site. The text reads "Become a member". I suggest changing this text to read something like "About the John Birch Society".

Ask yourself, would you be interested in joining any organization about which you knew nothing? Would you really respond to an invitation to join The Charles Allen Society or The Sam Daley Society?

It would be more effective to invite a visitor to first learn about JBS on its web site and then offer the invitation to join there on the JBS web site after the visitor has had the opportunity to learn something about the organization.
