The type is too small, The formatting is restrictive.  This is really a terribly difficult thing to work with, to the point of possibly restricting participation.

We need to have a much more open software.  Font size selection must be point-size based, Formatting shoiuldn't be this difficult, nor should the default type size be this small.

If you want to increase your font size you can do it on your end by using the "Font Size" feature built into all the common browsers.

As far as your fomatting issue, I am not entirely sure what you mean. Could you give me some specific issues you're running into so that I can address them?

Kind regards,

David,

I think the votervoice default font is likely a separate issue, but maybe it's related to what happens on the blog posts when someone doesn't realize what they are doing with font size as they are posting.

Example

Even for our users who know how to use the browser based font enlarger, this is a case where getting the font readable means blowing everything else off the screen.

David  et al,

I too have notice that sometimes when I post the text is small.  I found it's been when I copy and paste thing into here.  It seems the text needs to be 12 or larger when pasting in here.  The easiest thing to do is check the font and size of whatever you're copy and pasting before you put it in.

I've started always checking, viewing my post with the "preview" at the bottom right.  If the text is small, I copy and cut it out of the subject box (the top one, not the pevriewe box) and past it into an email.  My email always open.  It's just handy and easy for me to pop onto there.  You can put it where ever it works for you.  I then highlight it there and change the text size.  Once the size is increased, copy it and paste it back into the subject box.  Next, click the preview again.  It will remove the intial preview it showed you.  Click "Preview" again.  It now shows you what the current subject box looks like.  When it is readable, select "Submit."

When I fist tried to play with changing it on this site, it changed it in other ways.  You are right that it doesn't have an obviously place to increase size.  It's not what we are use to.  I couldn't get it to simply enlarge it.  The above was easy solve for me.

I don't think computer savvy people and especially IT people realize how difficult and mind boggling stuff like this can be to us!  They use words and give us steps four and five when we're still trying to find the power button!

As for the site and it's technology, I've been told and do beleive it's top notch cutting edge.  Regardless, it's free to join and use.

Hopefully sharing experiences and information like this will help us learn.
