Restoring the Rights of the States and the PeopleAs John McManus writes in his new booklet, “Restoring the Rights of the States and the People Through Respectful Adherence to the U.S. Constitution,” “History’s most frequently abused oath could very well be the solemn pledge taken by officials of the U.S. government to adhere faithfully to the U.S. Constitution.”

Because if the Constitution indeed were respected, the country wouldn’t be facing the colossal mess we are deeply mired in now.

John’s booklet offers a great deal of information on where politicians went wrong, the importance of righting these wrongs and how you are a key element for success.

John has some really great points in this booklet including:

“But a main purpose of the Constitution is to limit the power of government.  This goal has been severely eroded.  If, on the other hand, the purpose of the Constitution is not to limit the power of government, then the question should be asked: ‘Why bother having a constitution?’”
“What has occurred, of course, isn’t a conservative or liberal issue.  All Americans should be vitally concerned, both about disdain for the Constitution and disregard of the oath to adhere to it.”

“Swearing an oath to the Constitution is akin to signing a contract.  After a contract is completed, does either party possess power to interpret it beyond its original meaning?  All of its stipulations must be honored, not reinterpreted.  If a contract can be altered or reinterpreted at whim by either party, it is worthless and one party has been defrauded.”

John offers plenty of history regarding what went wrong, and then follows that up with 10 remedies.  These solutions are a great place to start to undo the many abuses the Constitution and the people of the United States have suffered.

And if you've listened to John on almost any radio interview, he will usually tell the listening audience that his favorite line in the Constitution is its first sentence: "All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."

He gets into this on page 27 and explains how this sentence has been "grossly violated."

As John has stated in many of his speeches, there isn’t an easy way to take back the country, but it can and must be done with education of the electorate being key.  This inexpensive, 40-page booklet will help you get started.
