Obama: New Era on Climate Change PDF Print E-mail

Even though evidence continues to mount against the blather coming from global-warming agenda-seeking enthusiasts, the president-elect plans to establish strict limits that would reduce emissions to almost impossible levels.

A Reuters article entitled, “Obama vows climate action despite financial crisis” really should have been entitled, “Despite evidence to the contrary, Obama will force U.S. to enter new era of global cooperation on climate change.”

Because that’s what the nation’s new leader plans on doing. "We will establish strong annual targets that set us on a course to reduce emissions to their 1990 levels by 2020 and reduce them by an additional 80 percent by 2050," he said.

This is exactly what France’s Sarkozy called for and Great Britain has called for, right down to the last little detail. The only thing he didn’t mention was personal carbon ration cards, where one’s gasoline, plane tickets, and heating fuel consumption are tracked. When one’s carbon allotment is used up, one could opt to stay put, freeze to death, or trade with others on the black market.

"My presidency will mark a new chapter in America's leadership on climate change that will strengthen our security and create millions of new jobs in the process." How one strengthens security and creates millions of new jobs -- what a preposterous statement! -- by clamping down on businesses, manufacturing, and private citizens via heavy regulations remains to be seen.

Sending a message to international leaders, Obama left no doubt what his intentions are: "Once I take office, you can be sure that the United States will once again engage vigorously in these negotiations and help lead the world toward a new era of global cooperation on climate change."

Unfortunately, he may just succeed because of the power now residing within the executive branch courtesy of George Bush and his administration, allowed by a spineless -- or complicit -- Congress.

I wonder how many carbon credits are used up by politicians’ hot air per day.

carbon credits
The ruling elite are pushing hard for this. Global temperatures are cooling and their window of opportunity closing.

Does anyone in this country have any sense left? If 52% of America voted for this Commie is there any hope left?

Lots of Hope is left
One thing's for sure, everybody who calls himself/ herself a "conservative" has his/her radar up now that an avowed "socialist" is in the White House. Bush did a great deal of harm to the republic because conservatives did not recognize that he was socializing America. The attention of conservatives was cleverly diverted by the so-called war on terrorism and he and the Democrats and Republicans went after our God-given rights in a manner that, perhaps, an Obama won't get away with for 8 years like Bush did. In two years even the Democrats who voted for him will see that he is just like Bush. The war will continue and the Bill of Rights, habeas corpus won't be restored and we may even wake some of those folks up. So I say there is lots of hope.
