Almost none of us on this network expected anything else from either candidate, or from any possible President, absent a miracle that would have Ron Paul or someone like him elected. That Mr. Obama is of African descent is the one thing he has going for him; it is a great step in our national development that we could elect a black President, regardless of what self-interested backing or intent was behind it. (There was equally as much behind McCain, and all of the white presidents we have had since maybe, Andrew Jackson) That a black or indeed any minority child can say to himself, or herself, "Someday I could be President", shifts the relationship of all minorities from outsider to participant, with an entirely new future for all races. The value of that cannot be underestimated, though it may take many years for it to be fully realized. Division among races is one of the most potent tools of control-addicted insiders, and if that weakens then we are all the better off for it. The very fact that Obama had a 73% approval rating at it's highest indicates that the country is closer than ever to being color-blind, which is great news. The fact that his rating has dropped to 47% is due to people waking up to principle, not race. Obama has not gotten any blacker, but his agenda is becoming more transparent, and the electorate are starting to wake up more and more to the men behind the curtain. Obama, race, militias, and SPLC fundraisers are just temporary characters on the stage; the antics of Mr. Dees are relatively minor blips on the radar, but still worth mentioning, if only for their very irrelevance. - eyeopener Mon, 17 Aug 2009 03:15:43 +0100 http://jbs.org/jbs-news-feed/5228#comment-1823 Black Americans will be exempt from Obamas health care plan just like White Americans and members of Congress and anyone else in this country. If a person is happy with his health care they can keep their plan as it is. Which has what to do with health care? Well, excuse me, but this so-called "health care" bill will affect black Americans too, won't it? Or will they be exempt from Obama's plan like Congress? And by the way, Mr. Dees, the man at the Tea Party who was selling "Don't Tread on Me" paraphenalia, and who, most inconveniently, was beaten and hospitalized for two days, was a BLACK MAN.
