The John Birch Society (JBS) the Constitution Party and the Oath Keepers got singled out for an attack as "hate groups," groups that are supposedly dangerous, hate-filled organizations. The accusations came on a March 3, 2010 MSNBC program featuring a Mr. Dylan Ratigan as the show's host. The JBS was accused of hating the government.

In 2010 and beyond, there are great opportunities and challenges for Americans who want to restore Constitutional supremacy over the federal government.  We are at a crossroads with national debt at a ridiculous all time high, Federal Reserve System caused inflation ravaging our monetary value, socialism being offered or installed on too many fronts, costly interventionist wars being waged, the H.R. 4321 act offering amnesty to a block of millions of illegal invaders, and as the combined-Internationalists continue trying to submerge America into their “new world order.”  Many Americans are at last becoming alarmed and seeking to become activists for restoring our constitutional order.

Last night, Tuesday, January 12, 2010, former foreign policy advisor to presidential candidate Jimmy Carter during the 1976 presidential campaign, former director of the Trilateral Commission from 1973 to 1976, former national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981, and presently the Robert E. Osgood Professor of American Foreign Policy at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, in Washington, D.C.,  Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski gave a smooth, confident, professorial presentation as one would expect from an experienced player on the world stage speaking in front of a rapt audience in Provo, Utah.

                The acts of terrorists are designed by terrorism’s ultimate, but often hidden, leaders with this slogan in mind: The Action is in the reaction. The reaction to terrorist acts is implemented by national-governments and international governments upon governmental policies, actions, laws, treaties, etc. Government policies are implemented upon the citizens of countries affected by those governments. But to what ends would those organizing, funding, training, and arming terrorists be aiming terrorist conspiracies to launch attacks at America? What outcome is desired by those behind the international terror network?

     Next week, I'm giving some presentations about H.R. 2454 at a few JBS meetings that some great California JBS members are hosting in the Bay area of California. I've put together a handout that I plan to disbribute together with copies of our September 28th "Cap & Trade" issue of The New American magazine to attendees and I thought JBS readers on this website could use the information as a basis for a handout for whatever Cap & Trade presentations you might be offering in your communities.      You can flesh this out, or edit it as you need for  your state, community, or particular venue where you present information about the Waxman Markey bill. Weeks ago, after ordering Peter Lance’s book TRIPLE CROSS from www.shopjbs.org, I had taken up reading the well-researched book while on airplanes to Sacramento, Seattle, or during meals where I found myself alone. At one point I found myself seated on a commercial airliner while seated on a connecting flight to Salt Lake City. We were 30,000 feet above Grand Canyon. I stopped reading about how al-Qaeda operatives planned to blow up airliners in mid air using bombs hidden inside toys to look at the magnificent canyon far below. It was an uncomfortable feeling as I had earlier heard the man two rows ahead of me talking in Arabic on his cell phone before our plane left the terminal in Phoenix to taxi down the runway for take off.

The book pointed out many problems associated with our intelligence community, especially the FBI and CIA such as the antiquated computer systems or lack thereof at the FBI. Evidence of coverups associated with 9-11 resulting from actions meant to cover failures was presented within its pages.

How is a community taught and reminded of the value of our Constitution?  It takes some responsible, dedicated, organized volunteers willing to invest their time, sacrifice some funding, and to pull talented people together to plan and do the work.  Can our communities also be informed about present threats to our constitution so people will help prevent a Constituitonal Convention from being Convened?  Let's answer both questions.

     It was Labor Day weekend, and I didn’t mean to read the entire book, I only took it off my shelf, where it had gathered dust for years, to find the spelling of a word.  It was a book I had read maybe twenty years ago and seemed hardly worth reading again, now that the man it was written about was dead and buried. Yet, like the last time I had opened it, I couldn’t seem to put it down. By the end of the 3-day weekend, I had read the 1974 edition of Zad Rust’s 1971 book, Teddy Bare, again. The word for which I had sought a proper spelling was Chappaquiddick.

September 2^nd I had learned of a forum to be held the next morning and emailed JBS Chapter Leaders in Salt Lake City to meet me there. I was curious who would be able to attend with such short notice.  Inside the Utah State Office building at the north end of the Capitol Complex, a line had formed at the security desk as people seeking entry for the CAP AND TRADE : The Cost to Utah Forum to be hosted by U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch and Utah State Governor Gary Herbert waited to show their identification and sign the register.

Standing in line I was looking behind me at the capitol’s dome mirrored in the pool of water at its base. When I turned back, to my surprise the registrar pointed to me, smiled and said, “You don’t have to register, just go on through, sir.”  So I did, wondering why I got special treatment. Then, it dawned on me, in my suit I had been mistaken for a certain State legislator before and that was probably what had just happened again. I smiled as I strode past the line and boarded the elevator. Rank has its privileges even if its only mistaken rank.

There are only fifty state governments, that is state legislatures, in this federation we call the United States of America. That's not too many law making organizations to influence, is it?  For organized Chapters of The JBS it would be a cinch to distribute information to so few law makers. 

There are an estimated 7,000 legislators in those 50 State Legislatures, but there are members of The John Birch Society throughout those 50 States who can bring sufficient understanding to those 7,000 men and women on important topics, topics that will forever change their world view.

Two days ago, I worked my way long the marina docks at Balboa and Newport passing out the reprint "LOST" which details the dangers of the Law of The Sea Treaty or Conventions of the United Nations. I found that boat owners accepted the reprint quickly and were glad to have it. Also I stopped at the Balboa Pavillion and gave out the reprint to Davey's Locker and other fishing enterprises there as my daughter and I were going "Whale Watching" on a cruise there. (Yes, I'm on vacation).

 America has lots of coastlines on the West coast, South Coast, East Coast, the Alaskan Coast and the coast of Hawaii. Kip Webster's Chapters in the East blazed the trail of distributing LOST reprints to marinas, but are other JBS members who live nears coastlines doing likewise?  Who else can warn the dock workers, the longshoremen's unions, the shipping companies, the oil companies, the boat owners, and the fishermen of the coast lines about LOST but the Paul Reveres of The John Birch Society armed with LOST reprints?

This week, working in Northern Utah, was a busy one, thanks to the cooperative effort of my volunteer Chapter Leaders and others in setting up excellent evening meetings in Clearfield, Utah; Peterson, Utah; and in Providence, Utah.

 Each even had a full room including JBS members and those they had invited or brought to the meetings. In some instances, the meetings had been planned for a long time, for others it was short notice, but still good attendance. The particular meeting I wanted to focus on in this message was held in Providence, as I thought it was examplary as a way of influencing and bringing understanding to others.

There are no such things as conspiracies, only conspiracy theories, or so some media "talking heads" and officials of the Department of Homeland Security would have us believe. But while it is true that there are some wild or improbable conspiracy theories, conspiracy is also very much a fact of human existence.   Let us walk through history for a bit observing some of the conspiracies the naysayers apparently ignore when they write off conspiracy as an explanation for some interlocking events.

It is Sunday, as I write. So I was contemplating within the pages of the Holy Bible the most obvious of ancient conspiracies recorded and kept for 20 centuries. Luke recounted that, "Then, entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot...And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray [Jesus] unto them. And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money." (Luke 22:3-4) Naturally Judas communed with these priests and captains in secret for the payment of "blood money" that procured his betrayal of Jesus Christ. Such secret collusions, done for an evil purpose, between two or more persons, are defined as conspiracy. 

Probably the motives driving the chief priests were different from those driving Judas into conspiracy, but their evil purposes became united in their secret communion that brought about Christ's crucifixion, an act that arguably could be called a "judicial murder" since the ultimate judge in the case, the Roman Prefect of Judea, Pontius Pilate, knew Christ to be an innocent man, saying, "I find in him [Christ] no fault at all" (John 18:38).  Writer Eric Huntsman points out, "In the end, [Pilate may have felt threatened because] the Jerusalem authorities took political advantage of Pilate by questioning his loyalty to the emperor."

Back in 1997, I appreciated the excellent book by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, "The Secret Life of Bill Clinton- the unreported stories which so laid out Clinton's ties to drug use, drug trafficking, the Mena airport, the "Dixie Mafia" criminal conspiracy, etc.

Now, in the article on the Internet (above), Ambros Evans-Pritchard, again writing for the Telegraph in London, talks about the G-20 moving towards creating of the IMF a global central bank, a bank of issue with power to issue a new global currency. Then, Mr. Evans-Pritchard says, "The conspiracy theorists will love this."  But, they are not "theorist" are they? In fact they are "factists."  For what has been called "theory" is proving out to be FACT.
